I suspect the holster was added after the fact and came from another gun. The holster is a factory holster also, but unlike the gun, it shows quite a bit of wear and has a German or Austrian Eagle proof mark stamped into the inside of the flap. The fit and finish are perfect, no pitting, no wear, no staining. The gun is pristine and shows no indication of ever having been blued. This one, however, appears to be a factory nickel plate on stainless steel. According to all written descriptions and photographs these were only made with a rust based bluing of the steel. Astra made about 59K of these, this one is S/N 503XX. It's chambered in 9mm Luger and holds eight rounds in a single stack. It has a grip safety and a slide safety/lockback. There is a front barrel bushing and the recoil spring wraps around the barrel. The barrel has locking lugs that lock into the frame. He only shot it 3 or four times through his living room wall in the early 60's. I know the history of this gun for the past 60 years. ![]() I picked this up over the weekend from a family friend.
